Gallery doesn't work in IE

Hi guys

I have a little problem with phoca gallery in internet explorer.
My joomla is 3.4.8 and I have just updated phoca to 4.2.2 and it still don't work.
It works in other browsers without problem.

Do you have any idea how to fix this?

What is not working?

Just tested with:
IE11 v.11.0.9600.18163
Joomla! v3.4.8
Phoca Gallery v4.2.2
without any problems...

Small icons don't show up and after clicking infinite loading and nothing happens.

The version of IE in which it doesn't work is IE8

Hi, which small icons you exactly mean? Can you paste a screenshot?

Unfortunately I cannot test the problem with obsolete program like IE8 is because of security reasons but maybe we can give some advice when we see the problem on screenshot

So, it works with other browsers. Why are you using IE8?

.. Effective January 12, 2016, Internet Explorer 8 is no longer supported on any version of Windows, due to new policies specifying that only the newest version of IE available for a supported version of Windows will be supported

This is: IE11

... Internet Explorer 8 is the last version of Internet Explorer to run on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP; the following version, Internet Explorer 9, works only on Windows Vista and later

This also belongs to: IE9,10. Also: WindowsXP ist out since april 2014 .... etc.

Furthermore your problems with IE8 have also to do (in addition) with different javascript libraries & jQuery.

So again: why using IE8 - which is old, not anymore supported & unsecure.

I'm not using IE nor Edge. IE8 is just pre installed browser on my win7.
I'm using GChrome, but when I need to test something in other browser I'm using the other choice which is IE8.

"the other choice" woulde be: IE 11 - not more - not less

Why it "should"? Even you could solve it with some backwards programming etc. (see previous post) - IE8 (9,10) not more supported -& unsecure.
