Phoca Gallery Entry is missing

Post by Florian_W »

Hello,

I dont' know since when, but I miss the "PhocaGallery" Entry in the Admin-Menue "Components" All other Phoca-Products (Guestbook, Downloads) are available.
I Install today the current Version 4.2.2 but the Entry is further missing.
But the component is working - If I enter the direct link (/administrator/index.php?option=com_phocagallery) I can add categorys, pictures etc.

What can I do that I get back the Entry in the Admin-Menue "Components"

Hi Florian_W,

check following please: backend > Extensions > Manage > Manage > check if components - phocagallery is activated (under: Status) > green checkmark

Kind regards, Christine

Hi, hmmm, check if the XML files are set in your folders on your server:
components\com_phocagallery\views\categories\tmpl\default.xml
components\com_phocagallery\views\category\tmpl\default.xml

Hmm, no idea there, I think, reinstallation could solve it:

- installing it newly (no uninstall - then no data will be lost), if this will not help:
- then uninstall and install - of course backup must be done as data will be lost and if this will not help:
- then remove the component manually (of course with backup first):

I just upgraded from Joomla 2.5 to 3.4.8 and have the same problem. Everything else works.

Did you follow this upgrade guide:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/50-phoca/ ... o-joomla-3

if there is a problem then, as written above, maybe it should be removed completely and newly installed  viewtopic.php?f=1&t=38688&p=120361#p120150
