Bug deleting photo or category ?

Hello,

I use PhocaGallery v4.1.2, with Joomla 3

I have loaded several categories of photo in Phoca, and till there, everything worked fine.
But now I would like to remove some photos I don't like anymore.
So I check to photo to delete, and press 'delete' button. But nothing happens, the photo obstinately remains in the list, still checked, and I got no error message, as if the 'delete' button was dead.
It is the same thing when I want to delete a category, even empty.
I am connected as super user, with suppression rights activated.


I works on my local site, which is an Akeeba restauration of my main site.

Any idea how to solve this problem (other tant unpublish the photo..) ?

Hi Anne,

I think, that the images and thumbnails are still in folder: media/images/phocagallery/xxxx and/or on server.

Yes, thumbs and photo are still in the folder : httpdocs/images/phocagallery/mycategory/mysubcategory. The delete button had no effect at all.
I could delete the files and folders through fillezilla, but I fear to create discrepancies..

Have also a look in: (backend) Media/images/xxxx (not in phocagallery).

Hum.. I don't have any folder named Media/image
I havea "media/com_phocagallery/images", but it contains only images useful for phoca itself (buttons and so on)
All by photos are in "Images/phocagallery" and only there

Fixed !

I have 2 Super-User on my Joomla site: one automatically created by my hosting provider, and a second I created myself with the ID I usually employ for other products.

'Delete' don't work with the Joomla Super-User I created myself
BUT it works with the Super-User created by the hosting provider.

So it was just a question of rights on the files of the server..

one automatically created by my hosting provider, ...

hmm, usually this 'automatic creation' should be changed after finishing of installation of joomla.
So hopefully it's a good one, not just: "admin" ..... Also an administrator (.htaccess) Log In is recommended.
