Problems adding pictures & blank image screen

Hey,
I recently started to have some issues to upload additional pictures into Phoca Gallery.

It takes a long time to create thumbnails and then it stops, resulting that it was needed to do F5 to renew the page.
After some times it worked but then different pictures are added multiple times.
(These needed then to be removed from the SQL database because it wasn't anymore possible anymore to visit "administrator/index.php?option=com_phocagallery&view=phocagalleryimgs" this resulted in a blank screen.)


And setting wise in Phoca Gallery I checked:
Maximal Upload Size (in bytes - front, admin upload) = 4145728 (Normally the biggest pictures are around 2MB, but increased it to not block on this.)
Maximal Size of all User's Images = 5209715200

Phoca Gallery version 3.2.2
Joomla version 2.5.28

Hosting wise only 10% of the available space is used so according to me not linked to hosting.

Anybody an idea from where the issue is comming?

Hi, hmmm, there should not be any problem with images which has size cca 2MB

Try to enable pagination thumbnail creating, so thumbnails will be done per pages, so this can save some memory, try to see:

Hey Jan,

Thanks for the tip, it seems to work.
We are able again to show the image tab in the background without issues and added 1 image categorie and uploaded some pictures and that went back like normal.
