Re: Migration of phoca gallery form joomla 1.5 to joomla 3.4
The tutorials located in the links above are very thorough. I just did one from 2.5x to 3.4.5 and it went fine. All I had to do that was a bit different was that I had to import each table separately. In other words, xxxxx_phocagallery, xxxxx_phocagallery_comments, xxxxx_phocagallery_fb_users, etc. and then I had to do a search and replace in each x.sql file in order to change the old prefix to the new one before I imported into the new one.
Perhaps it's already listed in the existing tutorial and I didn't notice it but I thought I'd add my .02cents worth for those non-programmers out there, just like myself.

Re: Migration of phoca gallery form joomla 1.5 to joomla 3.4
Hi, the guide described in the articles should be brief because migration is not easy process. There are needed some basic skills. When you ask your GPS navigation for the path, it does not teach you how to drive and how cars are working. I hope you understand what I want to say. If the migration guide will include explanation and description of all the techniques which are needed to know (CMS, Joomla!, webdesign, PHP, SQL, etc. etc.) then it will be not brief guide but a book which then does not help to anybody
The guide should be done by non-programmers too, as there is nothing which needs to create the programms. There are SQL queries but they are done, they just should be copied and executed, not programmed.
So what I want to say is, it is really hard to write some guide which can help to everyone
because there always will be people with different skills
