installation problem

Trying to reinstall phoc gallery and it installs but when I try to use it, I get error messages like this:

No such file or directory in /home/********/public_html/libraries/joomla/application/component/helper.php on line 380

Can anyone help please?

sorry, I can't find: .../libraries/joomla/application/component/helper.php in Joomla 3 (it's in J 2.5)
Which J version do you use & phoca gallery?

in addition: check your permissions also, for /tmp /logs etc.

Joomla 2.5 and phoca gallery 2.7.1
I am a super Admin.

in Extension Manager: Manage it shows phoc gallery is installed, but cannot use it.
just get the error mentioned in my post.
