no categories for background slider displayed

hi,

i am pretty new to phoca gallery (standard template) which i installed on joomla 3+ for my project finepixel.info ...

now i was trying to get my own pics displayed in the background slideshow, but my own categories for my uploaded pics on phoca gallery are not showing up when i go on "phoca gallery category id" in the background slider settings... actually no category shows up! not even after allowing phoca to display the sub categories...

has someone any idea what i made wrong???

Hi,
you use Phoca Bild 3 Template. In the Advanced settings of this template you can choose the Phoca Gallery category you want to display.

i have found already the advanced settings before... the problem is, there are no categories showing up to choose from!!! now i am wondering, if i did something wrong, in my categories in the phoca picture settings... any idea???

meanwhile i will try to just replace the template pics for the background slider with some of mine... i hope i´ll find the location root...

Hi,
if you have installed Phoca Gallery, and if you have created some categories, and if you have pulished and authorized this categories, this categories should be selectable in the advanced settings of Phoca Bild Template. And if you have load up images to the selected category, this images should be displayed in frontend.

thanx again, benno! it seems, i did everything exactly the way you described it... but nevertheless no category is showing up to choose from!?

meanwhile i just changed the 3 phoca pics for the background slider with 5 of mine. in the extended settings i put in 5 pics to show on the background, but only 3 are coming up (of course with the titles of the original 3 phoca pics - don´t know where to change them)...

now i am even more desperate

Yes, because this setting means the count of images, that should be displayed from a selected Phoca Gallery category.
Not sure, but the count of example pics (3) is not changeable, I think..
