categories and images multi language

Good afternoon.

I've built a site joomla 2.5, multi-lingual, italian and english.
I've installed PhocaGallery 3.2.6 and create many categories and sub-categories.
First in italian and then I've doubled to English.
The same for the images.
So, the dump of the tables is:

In the backend of joomla, I see perfectly the "categories" manager (Components -> Phoga Gallery -> Categories).
The combo box on the top right, language selector, permits the right select of the records of the categories, filtering the language.

The "images" manager (Components -> Phoga Gallery -> Images) show the language selector, but doesn't work. If I try to filter the language, the list shows the whole set of records, both italian and english.
In add, the combo "category selector" shows the whole set of categories, italian and english.

Please, I've 173 categories in italian and the same number in english, 10,200 images for each language.
The site is for a photographer, very nice.

Hi, yes, the images explain it - for now the category filter does not accept language filtering - I will take a look at it if it can be implemented in some of the next version. But I think, there will be a problem, because the category tree is rendered by recursive function and the whole tree is rendered. When some of the parent category will be filtered as other language, then all subcategories will be removed from the filter - so this can a problem as on every server other requests are set

Thank you very much for your kind answer.
It's strange that only I encounter this kind of problems, with regard to the multi-language management.
No one else has ever reported it?
It's a pity, because the phocagallery are great, especially for the possibility of carrying out nested categories and sub-categories.

As I reported, I developed a website for my photographer friend [404], I'll put it on-line the next week.
As you can see, there are lot of photos (nice photos!) with a very deep categories tree.

I've ported the site to

Joomla 3.4.1
PhocaGallery 4.1.2

and checked the problem explained above.
But seems the filter language in the Components -> Phoga Gallery -> Images doesn't work.

Haven't you time to have a look?

Hi, I have it written in my todo list for next version of Phoca Gallery. Now I am working on next version of Phoca Gallery, so I will take a look at it. Will see if there is something I can change. I will let you know.

I will take a look at the image list as the tree, I think, will be hard to filter it.

I'll be very grateful if you'll consider to implement the language filter selection.

The site I build

morenofaina.it

has today into the table jm25_phocagallery_categories, 555 records and into the table jm25_phocagallery, 30632 records, splitted between italian and english.
You can image how difficult is to manage this very high numbers of categories and images via back-end, without having any useful kind of filters.

Hi, sorry, for late response, confirmed, seems like something changed in Joomla! so the filtering has problems (on one of my server only, which is really interesting)

I am now working on next version of Phoca Gallery, so I hope, this will be fixed.
