g+ import: what if new images loaded on g+?

Hello!

as the subject says.... If i set up the categories in phoca as an album in g+, what happens to the images in the gallery if I add some images to g+ on the same g+ album?

1) they are automatically imported (don't think so)
2) I need to reload the album in the category.

if the answer is 2), what happens to the already and previously loaded images (which have been filled in with description, caption, tags and so on)?

a) they are completely replaced and I need to fill in again all the data (description, tags....) - HOPE NOT
b) they remains as they are, with their ID and so on, and the new images are just added and need to be completed with descriptions, tag and so on (HOPE SO)

I think it should be 2) and b), but just to be sure, since the organization of all images needs a massive work.

Hi,

2) it is import function not synchronize function, so you need to import the images every time when you image is added. All possible settings should be done on Google+ because, as you have written, settings on your server will be removed when importing the images again. So the a)


1) a)
Yes, ideal will be 1) and b) but there are limits for this (not automatic function possible on server, problems with memory when synchronizing the images and their values, etc )

Oh dear! That's a shame! this means every time I add a photo on G+ and want to import on phoca i will loose all the phoca tagging i'm using!
Anyway THANK YOU for reply...it is not easy to find a good support for free apps!!!

By the way, couldn't the importing engine control if a certain image was imported previously? [feature request]

Anyway by now I found a workaround. It's annoying but it works. Suppose to have some new photos to be added at the "MAIN" category which are on the "MAIN" album on google

1) the photo to be added in google should imported in a new album, called for example "new images"
2) create a new category in phoca component which imports the images from the album "new images"
3) from the Image view in the phoca control panel select the newly imported images
4) Choose multiple action tool from the upper toolbar (button near the delete)
5) choose to move all of them to the MAIN category

6) IF YOU NEED go on g+, select all the images in the "new images" album and choose to move them on the "MAIN" album.

Surprisingly the image will continue to be displayed on phoca, even if you imported ona certain album ID and now they are on a different album.

this thread is about adding new images to google plus that was previously imported. I cannot import google plus category. Maybe this is because huge amount of imported categories and photos.

Hi, for now I don't know if importing Google+ images will be supported by Google as they will change (changed) to Google Photos? So maybe this could the the reason?

Thats's bad In such case the message cannot contact pcasa lbum or something else should be displayed. I am redirected to main component site without any message

Hmmm, and when you take a look at errorLog, is there any php error?

PHP setting : error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE
joomla error reporting - maximum
In error.php (/logs dir ) I have only errors about incorrect login.
I have noticed that files from /images/phocagallery/... are copied to main site directory but I don't know when and why and is this connected with this problem.

Try to see if all the options are set correctly:
