Trying to Set Gallery/Button to work w/Bootstrap?

Post by ZepCat »

Hi:

I have a Joomla 3 site in development. The site is running on a ThemeHippo Bootstrap-optimized template. I have Phoca Gallery module, component and Button Plugin installed. I have the Big display Gallery working, generally.

What I am having issues with is using the button plug-in to create a single image or pair of images in a blog article, which will fill the responsive columns set up in Bootstrap. I've tried several different ways to embed the image, in the divs. But I simply keep getting a thumbnail, no matter what settings I'm indicating. Please see this article: http://booknook.biz.customers.tigertech ... Itemid=694 on my staging server.

What I want, as an end result, is something that in the article, looks more like this: http://booknook.biz.customers.tigertech ... Itemid=694 with the ability to enlarge/lightbox the images, so readers can enlarge the image for clarity.

What I'm getting, using the plugin button (which otherwise, by the way, works great!), is the thumbnail view. I already have thumbnail sizes set, for my gallery, on the same site. Changing the image-size in the code, in the article, doesn't seem to affect the display size, prior to being clicked/tapped for the lightbox.

Can you give me some insight? I really need the bigger initial display view for the blog and FAQ articles, as I do a lot of work explaining this or that. Am I just missing something obvious? I'm happy to provide the relevant CSS for bootstrap that I'm using, but it's a T3 setup, nothing unusual to create columns inside an article.

Thanks!!!

OK, well, let me ask this, then, since this post doesn't seem to be getting anywhere:

Using the button plugin, how do I change this:

Code: Select all

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=5|imageid=122|imageshadow=shadow1|pluginlink=0}
to include this styling:

Code: Select all

class="img-responsive"
please? So that I can, hopefully, get full-responsive column width in each (image/thumbnail?), before the pop-up? Remember, please, I'm just trying to use a single image or some images, individually, in informational/FAQ articles, with the zoom/pop-up capability. Should I wrap inline CSS tags around the {} tags? That seems wrong to me, from what I can make of the piped line.

The entire reason for revamping my old site is because 60+% of my webtraffic is from mobile. I really, really need these images to be responsive. The informational articles contain a lot of "see this" and "see that" screenshots. If they're not readable in the main article, before pop-up, it's less than optimal. Can anyone here advise? I've searched this forum front and back, I've read all THREE manuals, all the way through (module, component, plug-in), and I really have tried everything I can think of.

ETA: I've tried "type-2" and every other combination of things I've seen in the component documentation-none of them seem to have an effect. Help, anyone?

Thanks.

Hi,

anyway - to have responsive output for the gallery, you can use Phoca Photo, see: https://www.phoca.cz/phocaphoto https://www.phoca.cz/joomla3demo/phoca-photo

To customize the plugin, edit:

plugins\content\phocagallery\phocagallery.php
