Hi, for now this means, only parent categories can be filtered :-(

Got that. Thank you Jan. More important is the pagination.

Is there some way to search for a sub category back end then?

There must be a way?!

My client has many categories, so how does he find the one he's looking for quickly?

Hi, for now there is no such way because of not breaking the tree. Categories are displayed with help of tree - it means - the parent category and its subcategories.

I can try to take a look at it - so if you will find subcategory, it will be found but the whole structure will be displayed - so no idea if this helps. Because of ordering (to be possible move the items, etc, the categories are displayed in tree - not alone, so searching subcategory will not display the tree)

In administration - there is displayed completely tree - subcategory cannot be displayed outside the parent as then the moving - ordering option will be destroyed.

So the option is to set the filtering for parent category and see all its subcategories - in fact the search function is not a search but filtering - but by filtering whole tree needs to be displayed together :-(

Hi Jan, I understand now - not so easy for you!

I do think the search function is important, as well as the filter currently present. Being able to quickly edit a category, even without being able to reorder it, is a pretty essential feature.

For now, I suppose doing a search of the page text would be a solution, but not ideal.

Thanks for the help.
