Hello,

i have 2 little problems

1.) if i add photos i cant see them on my site ... it looks like this

2.) how can i add photos from an image hoster to save traffic ?

Can you see your thumbnails in backend?
If yes, did you publish your categories and your images?

Mine is showing broken link images in the backend as well.
This is what is happening:
If thumbnail creation is set to yes, when I go to add a new image to a gallery and click the image button to browse for my image it gives me a fatal error message in the pop-up window
( Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 14592 bytes) in /home/****/public_html/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/image/imagemagic.php on line 214)

When I thumbnail creation is set to no it gives me blank images (as seen in 'cocktails' image link - both frontend and backend) but I don't get any error messages.

When I add photos with thumbnail creation set to no THEN go back into parameters and set it to yes it will go ahead and create proper thumbnails for the first 2-3 photos then it will throw another error message at me. Weird??

I'm using the lates version of phoca gallery downloaded 24/04/10.

Hi, search this forum what to do if your server (GD) is not able to work with large images.

- memory, cpu needs to be increased
- or smaller images should be uploaded to the system.

Frontend=what you and your visitors can see at your site
Backend=what you can see when you are login as administrator

Can you see your thumbnails in backend?
If yes, did you publish your categories and your images?

Backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Images
can you see there your createt thumbnails?

If yes, did you publish your categories and your images?

Backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Categories
are your categories published and authorized?
Backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Images
are your Images / thumbnails published and authorized?

2) i dont find sth. in the documentation to this

no i see there empty boxes

Hi,
1.) check by FTP if Phoca Gallery creats the folder thumbs.
/images/phocagallery/your_folder_where_you_load_up_your_pictures_on_your_server/thumbs
Are thumbs in this folder?

2.)

Delete in backend all empty boxes and create new thumbs.

Enable thumbnail creation.
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Parameters --> Thumbnail Creation Settings--> Enable Thumbnails Creation=Yes Save your settings.

I am uploading images that are approximately 50kb (tiny), there shouldn't be an issue with large images.
