Problem:

Ive installed the newest Phoca Gallery (2.6.2) on a fresh Joomla Installation. I always use Phoca Gallery at all of my Projects. It runs perfectly, and i never had problems......until now...

Ive installed it correctly, Seperated Ive installed the database with the right präfix....

But I coult not save Categorations !

You say you installed the database tables separately, but did they actually install? I had the same issue with the latest Phoca Gallery because the database tables weren't created on installation.

No, first I installed normally PhocaGallery, after the installation at the Backend I´ve installed the tables for the Database manually.

I always opend herefor the install.bak with an Editor and change all the prefix from "#__phocaXXXX" to "myprefix_phocaXXXX".
Then I go to PHPmyadmin and use that changes at the Button "SQL" and it installed the tables manually.

All tables are now buildt ! And i had no errors at the backend ! But I cant save configurations !!!!!!

Yes, ive tried it with enable/disable "Debug mode", but nothing happens....

Now ive downloaded and older Version (2.2.2) and installed it step by step (Install in the Backend, Change the prefix and manuall installation @phpmyadmin).....The older Version works !!!!!

I had only Problems with the 2.6.2 !

The only way I ever make the gallery component work correctly is by importing the database tables BEFORE installing the component in Joomla!.
