Hi,

I'm pretty new to Phoca Gallery.
I have installed it to my Joomla 1.5.

I have uploaded 4 pictures (jpg) and created one category.

Further I've created one Contend item that contains:
{phocagallery view=categories|imagecategories=1|imagecategoriessize=0}
{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1|limitstart=0|limitcount=3|type=2}
{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1|imageid=1|type=1}

Unfortunately now pictures are displayed in the Frontend.
The related contend item just shows the same text as above:
{phocagallery view=categories|imagecategories=1|imagecategoriessize=0}
{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1|limitstart=0|limitcount=3|type=2}
{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1|imageid=1|type=1}

Do you have any idea?

I'm also a beginner to Joomla, but to me it looks like Phocagallery is not activate.
Could that be a reason?
Where can I activate it? (I haven't seen any option for that)

2. The best way to produce correct Phoca Gallery Plugin code, is to install the Phoca Gallery Button Plugin. Enable it!

3. Do you create a menu link?

Of course, I've installed it.
Do I explicitly need to enable it?
How can I do that? I haven't seen and possibility therefore.

I have found the part of the documentation concerning installation;

Extensions » Install/Uninstall » Select the file to install » Upload File & Install.
Extensions » Plugin Manager » Phoca Gallery Plugin » Enable Plugin.

I guess my problem is, that there is no Phoca Gallery Plugin under the Plugin Manager

how can I enable the plugin if it does not appear in the Plugin Manager.

Hi,
if you have installed the Phoca Gallery Plugin it must be in the Plugin Manager. Perhaps on the 2. page...
If not, install it again.

I've got it working.

For some reason I have installed only the component. I thought that package contains both, the component AND the plugin.
So I have separately installed the plugin and now it work.
