In menu item manager, make your phoca menu your default menu.

Dear Sir,
First of all thanks for your reply ....
secondly i tried to do what you said but when i make phoca as default menu then i get error on main page '404 - Component not found'
then i had to revert back to home as default page.
sir , do you have any other opinion.
Sorry dont want to waste your time but if you/anyone has any input it would help me to sort out my first project for a customer.

Sorry ...but your suggestion works it was mistake from my side ....
now the album's can be seen on the main page but only one problem is when you click on any album the whole album opes on the main page and u can see slideshow but if you close slideshow the album refuses to come back to original state showing all albums on the main page instead it would show the image that was last displayed.

What you have to realize is whether phoca gallery is your default menu or not it's still going to react the same way. So if you click on a category it is going to take you to that category. When you open a slideshow it's going to close in that category.
One way to do it is in parameters, show the back button. If the back button is showing you can press it and eventually get back to the phoca homepage.
Something that might be more along the lines of what you want is to make multiple copies of a slideshow module. Then have row after row after row of slideshows on your homepage. They can open in lightbox or whatever and never leave that page. That would start to look very cluttered quickly.
