cateory avaliable but not in component??

hello!

Is there way to create gallery (category) that will be shown somewhere in article (using plugin) but not shown in gallery component link (there is no security risk on my site if it will be avaliable thru some mysterious link)? I searched thru category options AND tried to digg this forum but can't find anything.

Hi, try to see the Phoca Gallery Plugin, see:
https://www.phoca.cz/demo/phocagallery-plugin

Links to detail of an image are component links, so there cannot be used other than component link (mostly created by menu link)

Thank You for replay! Unfortunatelly, it's not what I really want to achieve. It would be nice to see that kind of functionality (hiding galleries in frontend component view but saving possibility to display it within articles with plugin) in future version of greate Phoca Gallery

Hi, the Phoca Gallery works this way, this is why there is the parameter to hide categories. You can hide them in component but display in plugin or reverse.
