"Important: After upgrade of Phoca Gallery version 2.5.x (and older) to 2.6.x go to Administration - Components - Phoca Gallery - Users and click on Authorize All button. Because in 2.6.x there is a new feature (authorize images), you need to make all images, which were added before this version, authorized to display them in the frontend."

??

I tried to upgrade from 2.5.6 too the latest 2.6.2.

All my thousand images and hundred categories were gone -- nothing left :-((

I could see that they still were intact on the webhotel disc after the upgrade, but nothing to see :-(

I tried this new feature "authorize images", no luck. i had to delete my website and reinstall a baackup of the 2.5.6 :-(

What am I doing wrong ???

Hi,
1. Did you really made an upgrade (did you choose the "upgrade" button) If you choosed "install" your database is clean and all categories and pictures are lost! So make a backup, it`s important!!!

2. If you made an upgrade you have to autorize first all your users, then all your categories and sub-categories, and then all your pictures in these categories and sub-categories.
Kind regards,
Benno
