Is Maximum Size of all User's Images limited to 2 GB ?
I have set this parameter to 10 GB both on Menu Item and on Global Parameters, but the User Upload Dialog still shows (Max: 2.00 GB, Left: 2.00 GB)
Or are there other settings I should check in Joomla, Apache or PHP ?
Regards!

Hi, no there is no limit. Check you server settings. check if you have set it in paramters components.

Hello Jan,
Thank you for a very good product! and for your prompt reply!
Regarding Maximum size of all User's Images it is still limited to 2 GB.
I can adjust the size in Global Parameters and see that in the Component Menu does change accordingly as long as I set a value below 2 GB.
As soon as I set a value above 2 GB in either Component or Global Parameters , the User Control Panel shows consequently 2 GB as the maximum.
I just do not know where this 2 GB value is defined ?
Cheers!

Just to check out some more, I powered up another Virtual Windows 2003 server SP2 x86, mint install, added IIS 6, Fast CGI, my SQL and PHP. Installed latest edition of Joomla and Phoca and got the same result as my live server with Apache.
It shows 2 GB limit on Max user uploads still, as soon I I define a higher value than 2GB
Do you experience the same ?
I will install Windows Server 2008 Web edition x86 tonight with IIS7, add Joomla and Phoca and see if result is the same on that platform.
Regards!

Hi, I found the problem, it is only output problem. I will fix it in next release.
The problem was, the number was "protected" by int (integer) which cannot get such 'high' values...

Hi, nice

and THANK YOU! for finding the solution to the problem!
That explains why I cannot find the setting anywhere.
So it is only output setting ?
So I can asume that if U set a higher value than 2 GB, the control procedure will let my users upload more than the 2 gb even though it shows 2 GB as linit ?
By the way, after playing around with different Microsoft server software setups the last weeks, I conclude that Phoca is responding quicker on IIS, with fast CGI, than on Apache, so I will go for the IIS7 on Web Server 2008.
Is that your opinion too ?
Speed is a bit essential to me casue the site will host thousands of pictures, and thumnail creation takes time...
Regards!

Hi, as all Phoca Extensions are strongly using Joomla! framework, I think the response depends on Joomla! framework more than on Phoca self.
