Back Arrow

Hello,
I have a gallery up and running and it is very nice.
Here's what I'm trying to solve:
I want Category icons on a page, but I also want to have lots of text on a page.
I have tried: having an article and inserting a gallery (using gallery button plugin). This allows what I am trying to do, BUT, since you have to attach the gallery to a menu, then the BACK ARROW goes to another place. For instance, I have a menu button called "Idea Center" and it goes to an article with text and information, and I inserted a gallery into the article. For the Gallery to be "seen" in Joomla, I had to attach the Gallery to a hidden menu item. Then, the Back Arrow always goes to that hidden menu instead of back to "Idea Center."
The other approach is to assign the gallery to "Idea Center" menu item, which makes the Back Arrow go to the right place. But, not clear how to add a page of text in this case.
Is there some way to assign where the Back Arrow goes? Or, can you suggest some solution to getting a gallery AND text on an article, WHILE getting the Back Arrow to go to the right place?
Thank you!
Carl
