Embedding a Phoca Gallery in User 2

Hi there,

I have searched the forums for help, but I can't find an answer to my question. Basically I would like to know if it's possible to embed a small gallery without labels in a JOOMLA page, say in user2. When the user clicks on the thumbnails lightbox would do a popup like usual. You can see something similar at the bottom of the page at: http://www.datso.fr/index.php

I'm fairly comfortable editing PHP but I'm just not sure where to begin or if this is even feasible. Any thoughts or ideas would be most welcome. Thanks for a great set of components and any ideas you can give me!

Hi mwelsh,

for embedding images into an Joomla! article take a look at the Phoca Gallery Plugin, this might be just what you're looking for.
When you write user2, did you mean the module-position? Then the Phoca Image Module could do the job...

Demo here: https://www.phoca.cz/demo/phocagallery-plugin.

Hi Reko,

I'm sorry I wasn't more clear. Yes, I was talking about module position 2. I looked at the Image Module, but it seems to only display a single image from the gallery there. I was hoping to find (or build out) a component that actually displays a "mini-gallery" view in that module, similar to what that link I first sent does. I don't see that Phoca can do it out of the box, so maybe I'll make a try at building something using Phoca as a starting point. It is a great gallery plugin.

Thank you everyone, especially the Phoca author for everything!

Hi Matt,

you can set the Module Type to "Mosaic" in the parameters of the Phoca Image Module - then it should do exactly what you want.
