Pictures in Thumbnails Displayed Wrong

Hi all
I have uploaded several pictures to Phoca Gallery v2.5.8 and they look fine. The odd one or two look peculiar in the fact that the person who is in the picture is not shown i.e displayed correctly.
Do I need to have the pictures a certain size? Do I need to change the dimensions of the pictures?
The pictures that display in thumbnails wrongly are sized as follows:
907 x 1479
430 x 812
940 x 1384
270 x 674

Is there a set guideline for pixel ratios to enable the centre of the picture to be displayed as a thumbnail?

Thanks

Hi,
thats strange... could you post a link or screenshot?

the size or aspect ratio should not be a problem for thumbnail creation: the small and medium size tn are square, that means the gallery cuts away on the two long sides and the center-part of an images is displayed. the large tn should have the ratio of the original image.

thanks for the link. I see now what you were meaning: some of your images are extremely tall and therefor the small and medium thumbnails are cropped quite a bit...

try this setting: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... n_Settings Crop Thumbnail - You can set if your thumbnails will be cropped or not. And recreate all thumbnails afterwards.
