I just make a fresh install of your new version 2.6 on my joomla 1.5.15 and all seem to work fine except one thing.. When user (administrator) upload image from user front panel they get error 500. If I go back from the error page I see the image are well uploaded... but why I get this 500 error ?

What is strange is if user upload image directly from category view I get no error...is only when uploading from user panel...Image are small in size and in width / height (something like 500ko and 800x600 pixels) so the problem don't come that...

Any suggestions ?

Hi, try to see error log (if there were no error after uploading) on your server.

Try to enable debug mode in Joomla! (in global configuration), so if there will be some problem in database, it will display it.
