Creating subcategories in 2.6 Beta

Hello,
I have tested Version 2.6 Beta, because I am really eager to use the new function where users could create new categories in frontend.
Unfortunately I have a problem with that and I also think that it's missing a bit that I would extremely need, which is really sad because the new frontend is quite cool - good work!
First of all I get an error when I try to create a new subcategory: "Parent category is not assigned to user. Category cannot be created.". I have tested a simple structure with one parent category and three subcategories. For all categories I have given rights (access, upload, delete) to all registered users and also set the owner-field to my testuser in Backend.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my Phoca Gallery User List is empty? What is this new menu-tab for? How do I create users or should they be created automatically?
Secondly I fear it does not serve the purpose I would require this function for: As far as I can see I can only set ONE category owner per category so I think only one user could create new subcategories per main category through frontend? Why is there no option to give "all registered users" owner-rights and therefore the ability to create subcategories through frontend by a group of users? Even better would be to restrict access right to "special" users as well (not only registered).
Is this the way it was intended for (just give single users the possibility to have several subcategories for themselves) or did I miss something?
I would like to give a short impression of my use-case: I have a website where a group of users (publishers) is responsible for the content - that means they write articles and add pictures managed by Phoca Gallery. At the moment they need backend-manager-access just for creating categories and uploading pictures. Using the backend is hard for them and they often make mistakes because they are a bit confused by the user-interface and the meaning of categories versus directories etc.
It would be great if they would not need any backend-access anymore. What they need to do is just create a new subcategory for a set of given main categories and upload pictures to the new category. So either I can give the right to create a subcategory for given maincategories to a group of users, or even simpler might be the following enhancement: When I am in category view and have suitable user rights I can upload new images at the moment. It would be cool to have a button there as well to create a new subcategory for this category that I am viewing - this subcategory should get the same access rights as the existing parent category and I should also have the option to create and define a new subdirectory for the image files that I afterwards could upload by using the Java-panel. This would also solve the problem that at the moment I am restricted to a two-layer category structure (just one main and several subs), but no subs to subs, etc. - i.e. a whole category tree.
This was also the way I understood the feature request and voted for it:
I can see that it might still a bit more work to do, but I hope, Jan, you would consider an extension, that makes it possible to administrate the whole picture publishing process through frontend.
Anyway - thank's a lot for you effort and your cool component!
