Watermarking individual messages

Hi
I am considering using Phoca Gallery for a large natural history image library, with categories based on taxonomic order so CLASS-ORDER-FAMILY-GENUS-SPECIES for example. An important part of this will be the ability to watermark some but not all images within a category. Can you please advise if this is possible and are there any examples in the public domain where Phoca Gallery has been used for an image library like this? Many thanks

Hi, when you set the watermark, then it will be used for every thumbnail you create. So the way could be to do it manually:

1) set watermark, add images which should have watermark and let Phoca Gallery create thumbnails with watermarks
2) then disable the watermark and add the rest of the images to system.

Thanks Jan
If I re-enable watermarks, will those images I have uploaded under step 2) without a watermark then be automatically watermarked? This would not be desirable as I need to be able to decide if new images should be marked or unmarked as and when they become available, without affecting the images previously uploaded

No, because if you have generated thumbnails without watermarks and then re-enable the watermark function, the system recognizes that thumbnails have already been created and does not touch them unless you click on the 'Recreate Thumbnails' button yourself.
