Hello Phoca Forum,

Sorry, I'm a total beginner with Joomla 5.4.0 and Phoca Gallery. I managed to install Phoca Gallery. What I didn't manage to do is install the German language in the backend. The ZIP file is not recognized under Extensions. OK, that's not as serious as my second problem.

Subfolders: So the main directory is images/phocagallery/ now I want to upload several images using the “Multiple ADD” function and I can see the directory structure on the right. I can also create directories using Create Folder. Example images. OK, images is created and I can select it. Then subdirectory... Excursion... But then I want to create another one, which is no longer displayed. The previous directory is displayed.

I even uploaded the subdirectory including images via FTP, but the subdirectory is not displayed for selection.

I think i found a bug: If the Folder has German Charakter like (ü/ö/ä) than it do not show the subfolders. I changed from (ü into ue) and than it works.

I noticed something else. Spaces are not allowed either. This means that if there are spaces in the file name, the images will not be displayed. So fill them with “_” or something similar. Sorry, but software in 2025 should be able to do that, right?

Hi,
I think i found a bug: If the Folder has German Charakter like (ü/ö/ä) than it do not show the subfolders.

Benno
