JAK Lightbox and IE8 problem?

Hello you all,
I have Phoca-gallery running for almost a week now with JAK Lightbox. Looks great! But today I got a mail from someone complaining he can't see the whole picture when viewing JAK Lightbox.
He uses IE8. I tested it in IE7 on XP and got the same result. It does not happen with me in IE8 on Vista64 and Windows7-32bit and not on Linux. I also tested Firefox, Chrome and Opera and they all function like they should.
I did make a few changes in JAK Lightbox as you can see on
http://www.photothema.com/index.php?opt ... 32&lang=en. I enlarged the picture it shows to 800px and changed the bg.png to appear dark. But as stated in all browsers everything is ok, just not in IE7 on my XP machine and this other guys IE8 on a 32bits and a 64bits machine. IE places the whole Lightbox lower on the page. We now put up a notice about it for users.
I use Joomla 1.5.14 and Phoca Gallery 2.5.8
Hope there is an answer to this.

Hi, no idea what is wrong there, maybe it is relating to changes, check the JAK code (javascript, CSS), if there is no specific code for IE7. Maybe you have changed it in the code which is designed for all standard browsers and IE8 and maybe there is some code specificied for IE7, IE6. Maybe on some machines the IE8 works as IE7 so there is problem too.

Hello Jan,
Thank you for the answer. I will look into the changes first and put in the old JAK codes to see if this solves the problems.
As of tonight I have a nice mixed bag of IE-versions and OS
Problem on:
XP32 + IE7
Vista32 + IE8 (two people)
Vista64 + IE8
NO problem on:
Vista64 + IE8 (Yes one of my systems works fine another same system doesn't)
Windows7 + IE8
Linux + Firefox
Any OS + Firefox, Opera and Chrome
I have asked for more people to react and if I have more reactions I will try to sort things out. In the mean time I would be grateful to hear of you or anyone else if there is an idea how to solve this.

The real problem is Internet Explorer, as usual. My phoca gallery is either not appearing or IE 7 and 8 claim there is a network problem. The gallery works on every other major browser, of course, except cruddy IE. God, I sure wish their market share would drop to zero. I may have to drop the gallery because of this, after a ton of work uploading.

Today I installed the update 2.6.1 No problems with any browser anymore...
What I notice is that all my changes I made in JAK Lightbox are gone. So the update must have overwritten those few files. I will try to get those lay-out changes back and see if the old problem re-appears.
Thanks so far Jan.
@Jim
Couln't agree more but "when hell freezes over" and all that...

Hi, yes before updating you need to backup files where you have done some modifications and then copy them back.
