Making picture upload more comfortable

I'm wondering if there is a way to make the picture upload a little more comfortable.
If you upload a lot of pictures at the same time you have to go through all that pictures afterwards, one by one, to edit picture title, description etc. Is there any known or planned way to make this process easier (without direct edit within the database)? E. g. uploading a formatted text file to import the data? Or might this be an idea for one of the next versions?

Thanks and regards,
Ronny

In 2.6.0 you can use Google Picasa on your PC and try to use this environment, maybe it will fit your needs. After publishing the images you can load them to Phoca Gallery, see:

Thanks for this hint, Jan, but I do not intend to upload the pictures to Picasa so it's not the way I'm thinking of. What I would prefer is a simple procedure to read a formatted text file with titles and descriptions (and possibly all the other properties of a picture) and import this information into the database.

Ronny

Jan, thanks for considering that feature -- users have immediately asked how they can put in a description when they upload -- even if the java upload could be extended with an editable "title" and "description" fields, that would be super!

Thanks so much! :|
