Is the a way to avoid people to access directly to a category by URL ?

By example :

https://carnaval-spc.fr/medias/2020-52/ ... -la-soiree

Here the category is accessible by the menu and the list of categories view so it's OK

https://carnaval-spc.fr/medias/2020-52/ ... -la-parade

Should be not allowed as it is not accessible by the list of categories or the menu

i did not touch the access right.

I will try to clarify the point :

It is not possible for a normal user to go the page of the 2nd URL by navigating thru the site. It's only possible by creating manually the URL.

and i would like to block this type of URL, not created by the user surfing on the site.

Hi, in Joomla you have different access rights:

- Menu link - if you protect some menu link, then data in the menu link which are accessible through another type of link will be accessible (it depends on used Itemid - if the link will use still the same Itemid, then it will be protected, if another Itemid then not) Itemid is the ID of menu link

- Category access rights - if you set access rights for category, then images inside this category will be not displayed - even you can access the category view per different menu links, menu types, etc. When the system should display Category A (it does not matter which link) and it is protected, then the items from this category will be not displayed.
