Hiding the root folder name

Hi,

I've tried to figure this out myself but haven't got anywhere. If I'm missing something obvious, I apologise in advance ;-)

I have installed the gallery component and uploaded some photos via FTP in a named folder within images/phocagallery and I have added images via admin panel and then created a menu item.

The problem I have encountered is that when viewing the front end, I click on the menu item (a category layout) but it doesn't take me straight to the album, I have to select another thumbnail which is the name of the root folder before being directed to all the photos within the folder. Also, this means that my breadcrumbs view is something like home/photos/family pics 2009/family_pics_2009.

It's not a major deal but I just want to see if I can tidy it up a bit. I've tried altering lots of parameters but can't get my head around it!

Any help would be much appreciated ;-)

Thanks
Steve

Hi, check if you have created a menu link to category view not to categories view, see:

I'm still a bit confused but nevertheless reading the article you sent has helped, and I will get my head around this eventually!

Thank you ;-)
