Access level instead of user specification

Hey Jan,

I'm wondering if it is possible to set a group of users (so an access level) for uploading images? Now I can only set an access level of viewing a category but I have to specify some users to be able to upload files.

Many thanks in advance!
Best regards
Stefan

Hi, in Phoca Gallery you can select users who will have rights to upload files in frontend:

That's the point. Why only users? Why not user groups (access levels) instead?

Usually you administrate users in different groups within Joomlas user administration. With your solution you had to administrate the user rights in Phoca Gallery, too. That's why I would prefer the Access Level solution.

Hi, this was voted by community as mostly the upload in frontend worked on users levels not on groups. Each user build the gallery in frontend so the rights were set to users. The purpose was to create rights for users galleries. Groups were not added to not confuse and not complicate the rights
