Hi Phoca forum,

we need a fast, well designed, reliable and easy to maintain gallery for our shop an found this:

In our shop the user clicks on a button and a pop-up appears, in which the gallery is running. The user is able to select an image for further processing.

Before reading the whole documentation (what we surely will do after final decision for Phoca) we have these three questions and would be very happy, if you have short answers like YES or NO. Absolutely we don‘t want to have a „how to do“.

1) Below every image there is a comment button. Is it possible to replace its function by own javascript code, that grabs the number of the image above?

2) After clicking on e. g. „CELEBRATION“ in the demo, is it possible to have subcategories displayed in the same manor? One of our top categories would be „COLORS“, followed by subcategories like „PINK“, „BLACK“, „GREEN“ and so on.

3) This question is connected to #2: A further subcategory of „COLORS“ should be „ALL COLORS“, where all images of top category „COLORS“ appear. Now, is it possible to have one image (e. g. „Horse on a green willow“) displayed at the same time in:
COLORS/GREEN
COLORS/ALL COLORS
ANIMALS/HORSES
NATURE/FARMS
...

Hi, before answering the posts, you are writing about shop, isn't it better to user Phoca Cart instead of Phoca Gallery:

1) in Joomla! your can override output html by own file per template, so in fact you can customize it there

2) Subcategories can be a part of image box list (but for now, I am not sure if this is possible for masonry effect - not on my PC now so I cannot test it)

3) In Phoca Gallery image can be set in one category only (you can add the same original image to more categories but in each category there will be new instance of the image with own ID - this is different to Phoca Cart where one product/image can be stored in more categories)
