I have been reading the documentation and changing the options one by one noting the effect for two days. This is on my second go the other last year when I installed Phoco Gallery. It is now not reacting the way I used to have it set up not a huge issue. However I can not get any download buttons to show and any that I do such as a share it only downloads the thumbnail size image.
I am prepared to wade through documentation however the documentation just doesn't match the program. I am only after a very basic setup. Can I please have a bit of a guide on how to download a full size image.

I would like to have a category list pictures only . A slideshow on top of that with random photos like the demo would be nice.
Then I would like to display the subcategories with a back button (not another picture of the subcategory showing as well).
Then when selecting the subcategory all the thubnails of the pictures to display.

I seem to have an extra thumbnail in there at the end which is the subcategorie and nowhere do I have a download link button

Thanks for your help, I am persisting with this as I use Phocodownload and that is a wonderful product.

Ok by chance I have found a solution to the missing icons that allow a download of the picture.

The fix was to change the Bootstrap 3 Icons to "No"

Why this has changed the format I don't know.

I am still running Phoca Gallery under a different template as when I use the template that the rest of the website runs on the category view changes from 3 pictures across the screen to just one picture under another.

More help would still be appraictaited to get this running smoothly I am sure I must not be the only one that struggles with some of these settings and their effects.

Hi,

here some (generell) explanation behind. It's an old thread, but useful information: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=39662#p122962

As you wrote: The fix was to change the Bootstrap 3 Icons to "No" i.e. when using template with bootstrap2,
