Height and width of thumbnails

Hi,

I have change the settings for thumbnail creation BEFORE the import.
I set medium to 200px (for both height and width) and it works well, the medium thumbnail is set to 200px.
The small is 100px.

however, on the front end, the height/width is different.
I can see the picture is resized on the fly to...120px.
why is it so?
And there is a large (wasted) space between the picture and the border of the box around the picture?
this box is set to 200px
how can I set the size of the thumbnail to be displayed at 200px?

note that "image box space" has no effect.

my settings are:
responsive design => yes
display name=> category name only

You don't need to enlarge the box height. Set it back to 0

how can I set the size of the thumbnail to be displayed at 200px?

Try to check this issue with the Joomla! standard template Protostar for testing.
