Hi, for now, the function is, that all images from one user are stored in one user's folder.
Phoca Gallery uses independent database layer and filesystem layer, see similar posts to get more information (e.g. when moving images from one category to another, the image stays in filesystem always on the same place, the same when such image is used on more places in the gallery)
