out of stock but product can still be sold

When I show a product out of stock the qty in add to cart still shows 1 and product can still sell. Is there a way to not sell when item shows out of stock? Thanks

I have stock check-yes
Stock checkout-no
Negative stocks-no
Display stock-yes
With these settings I have 4 pcs in stock put those 4 in shopping cart but instead of zero in stock I still have 4 in stock to continue to sell.

Hi, if there are 4 items on stock and you have 4 in shopping cart, there are still in stock because they will be subtracted after making ordering.
If there are 4 items and you will order 8, then you will be informed that it is not possible but if you order 4, they are on stock, they can be sold until somebody will order them.
