Hi
I have another 2 questions:

1- how to change background of comment field? [default is white, which doesn't look great on my page ]
2 - In configuration - Slideshow with small thumbnails + Highslide [only pict.] the popup windows is "over" the controls. Another words buttons "play","next", "previous" are not visible

Hi,

1 - this should be changed in CSS, see the code below this /* tabs */ in
components\com_phocagallery\assets\phocagallery.css

2 - this depends on the size of the image, maybe you need to set smaller large thumbnails or set other method there
