(sub) category header image

I am putting all categorie images in subcategories an I would like to see the first image of each subcat displayed on the main categorie page.
... the option to chose an image (just below the date) will not show me my images, it proposes only the images which are in /images/stories. My default image dir in the main config is set to images/phocagallery
To make it work I need to insert an image in the description , this does not seem logic.
What to do


I have installed emagus PhocaFlow but it does not seem to offer the solution to my demand.

Hi, there is no such option, this needs to be customized in category view template:

components/com_phocagallery/views/category/tmpl/default.php

I have another linked question ..
I would like to display ONLY the subcategories of a main category in a category list layout ...
The other main categories i do not want to see them in this list;
Any magic solution?

Hi,

if the main category contains only subcategories then it's quite easy:

- create a menu item of the type category layout.
- set the setting such that category(thumbnails) aren't displayed, but category(categories) is.

Even if I have several main categories?
I want the layout to be like the category list layout ie subcat image + description , all listed in one colum underneath each other ..

I do want the acaia, aulne an bouleau, which are the subcats of bois brut but not the other main cats: bois sur mesure and produits finis!
Can you tell me how to get french texts in the subcat info please?

Hi,

if you want to have the categories view with details (like description and such), then you need to create a phoca gallery category list layout and use the 'hide parameters' in the parameters(component) - 2nd box on the right - to hide the categories you don't want to see.
