Hi..
I have to setup a big website with Phoca Gallery now and before I proceed with that, I want to know, if PHOCA GALLERY is easy to upgrade or not..
Bcz, I cant afford to remove this 2.5.0 beta2, when a stable version comes and do everything all again.
So,I need to know, if im using beta2 2.5.0 for now and later when the stable version comes, how can I upgrade the core of phoca gallery at single click ?
Let me know.
Thanks..

Hi,
for upgrade procedures see:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... ca-gallery
Usually it works via the installer, and then it's just a one-click-procedure. On my live site it always has been a one-click-procedure until now.
When you encouter problems, then you need to upload the files via ftp and sometimes you need to make a database change.
Before you're going to upgrade, always BACKUP, and if you have a big site, it's smart to test first on a localhost or on a test installation. (for backups I recommend Joomlapack)

Ok..
so just upload and click on UPGRADE and thats it!
Ok got it..
I have few more questions..
1. How can we remove the footer copyright link ?
2. How we remove this back button . Its a menu item with CATEGORY list assigned to it ,and not categories list. But why is this BACK button showing ? How can we switch that off ?? ,
3. Im working on localhost and the modalbox or shadowbox, nothing is working. Is it bcz of localhost ??

1:
Custom changes, Footer information
If you need to do custom changes in some Phoca project or you need to remove the footer information, you get more information about these changes here: info[at]phoca[dot]cz . If you have donate to Phoca, just send email to info[at]phoca[dot]cz to get file which adds new parameter to your Phoca extension. With help of this parameter you can hide the footer information easily in Parameters - Component.

2: set in 'Category view settings (thumbnails)' all back buttons to no - those are the big ones.
3: it should work on a localhost. You could try to copy the files from the phocagallery package again to your installation. Maybe something went wrong on installing (installing on my localhost is more difficult, 'cause it's slow and therefore installing will fail on unpacking of zips sometimes).
