Hi, Phoca gallery does not change the original picture, only the 3 thumnails (small, medium and large). That means if you display the download-button underneath the images (which links to the original files that you loaded to the server) the image-rotate function will have not effect on these.

-> rotate before uploading, some programms offer an automatic tool for this. its even possible while importing from your camera to windows

Java upload can be used too. Java upload script can rotate original images before they will be loaded to server.
