Hiya,
I cannot get this gallery to work on a test site, although it work perfectly on another test site I have running. The difference in the settings seems to be that it runs fine on php 4.4.7 but not on 5.1.1. Also, the site it work on has EXIF Support enabled, whereas the other site does not. Should I get my host to change me to another PHP version for the site it does not work on and does the EXIF support matter (I actually have no idea what EXIF is or if its important).

Hi, EXIF needs not to be installed (only in case you will display EXIF information, but displaying EXIF information is disabled as default). So there is no problem.

Try to check other functions (create image, ...), try to check GD library. Do you get some error message (try to see error log or try to enable error reporting in php if you are able to do)

I posted a reply earlier but it seems not to have made it, so if I double up, I apologise!
Thank you so much for your prompt response.
The GD Library is up to date and enabled and I am getting absolutely no errors, just no icons or images showing up in either the front or back end of the site. I can create images and thumbnails but the thumbnails are shown as empty boxes in the front end and in one column sown the page, not across the page in a row. 'Download Image' leads to a popup box with scrollers with the original, unsized large image. I have tried a gazzilion configuration settings and templates but nothing works.
As I mentioned, the component works perfectly on my other hosts server but this is the site I need it on so very frustrating, I am hoping it is something simple. If you need more settings and a link I can provide them.
Any advice at all is greatly appreciated.

Hi, see if path to images is correctly created, see permissions of folders and files, see ownership of folders and files and check if there is no some security settings to display images on your server.
