I really think so, the instructions are so difficult, only the developer would understand them
My gallery is a mess, most of the images are cut off. I uploaded images in 600 x 600 and they are cut off to 500 px
so the bottom part is missing, also the buttons are way down so they are not visible in pop up box
and there are so many setting, I set the border and margins to 0 and still there is a hig e border around each picture
Category View Setttings (Categories)
Categories View Settings (Category List)
Detail View Settings
Description Settings
Slideshow Settings
General Settings
Overlib Effect Settings who know what the fuck is this
Java Box Width
Front Detail Window Width
Front Detail Window Height
and one more thing in each category i have around 80 images, ony 20 are shown in popup, the rest not
I really think i need to use anohter gallery, this one is a mess

why there is a border on the top and the image is cut of
here are my specs (my images are uploaded 600 x 600)
Phoca Gallery Width 700
comment box width 500 (have no freakig idea what this is)
categores map width 600
categores map width 500
jawas box width / height 600 / 600
large image width 600
large image height 600
front detail window width 600 height 700 ( so there must be room for freaking buttons)
administration detail window width / height 680 600
-------------------------------------------
the pop up image has a width 600 px , HEIGHT 500 PX, WHY 500 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
AND THE BUTTONS DONT SHOW, THEY ARE BELOW THE IMAGE
and please dont send me to that page, with screenshots, I would finish university quicker than understand all the freaking parameters in this component
i have spent 5 hours today on this freaking galelry, and could not figure it out
if you cant answer i will delete this component because it is super complicated and need to much time to learn

Hi,
Could you please state your problem(s) in a clear matter?
The way it is stated now, I'm not inclined to answer.
Remember that a gallery with a lot of features has a lot of settings.

once again, yes there are too many problems
but in short
why is my popup image cropped from 600 x 600 (original uploaded size) to 600 x 500, the bottom part of image is cut off
why are the buttons next previous, refresh pushed down and not visible in the pop up
usually the component has a lot of features but they are clear and understandable, with phoca it is not so

- if you download a large image from the thumbs folder and you look at the size, is it also 600x500? What happens if you recreate the image? (the 600x600 setting is set in global phoca gallery parameters isn't it?)
- make sure the setting 'crop thumbnails' doesn't apply to the large image. (then Phoca resizes instead of crops)
- could you check your media manager, what the original looks like and what the large thumbnail looks like. I have had problems myself with uploading a different image with the same name. It continues to display the old image.
garfy wrote:why are the buttons next previous, refresh pushed down and not visible in the pop up
- is 'display description' set to no?
- what is the 'description height'?
- what happens if you make the front modal box 800 x 800, or even bigger just for testing?
- you can only see the buttons if you set the detail view to 'modal box' or to 'standard popup window'.

I guess this has evolved from growing the component with all the feature requests. There is a small glossary available:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... y#glossary
By the way: if you know a better naming for the features, then post them please. I'm here too long to know what's difficult and what's not.

yes i checked the server, large thumbs are indeed 600 x 500, why?
- make sure the setting 'crop thumbnails' doesn't apply to the large image. (then Phoca resizes instead of crops)
yes i set that to no

- you can only see the buttons if you set the detail view to 'modal box' or to 'standard popup window'.

well you can name front detail window - front pop up window size
even you forgot the real name, you used modal box insted of detail window
shoud i delete all the thumbs and recreate them?
I tried that before and did not work

in short i deleted all the thumbs from server and recreated them, now they are in 600 x 600
also fixed the bottons
but the gallery is still showing all images, like it is using cache on my site, i stil lhave blue background that i deleted 30 minutes ago and the picture are still 600 x 500 cut off
i deleted cache in joomla admin, what else can i do, this component is really buggy
where is it pulling old data from?

Hi,
did you clear your browser cache?
And did you clear the site cache, via tools > empty cache?
If you go to the Joomla! media manager and you look up the large thumbnail for the specific image, does it look good there?
By the way: I use a Dutch translation for myself, so that's why I use some wrong names sometimes. (furthermore: I was really thinking you were talking about the modal box and not about the standard pop up window)

Hi,
I really don't know how to solve the border issue. Maybe there is a margin set somewhere in your template (or is it the same in rhuk_milkyway)?
Do you mind if I change the topic title to something like "image cut off in detail view" - this way others know what the topic is about when they search the forums with problems.
