Dear Jan,

A partner need a webcatalog (like webshop, without cart and shop functions), but need a product versions a more spectacular appearance.
I think will be a good choice, an other attrib type: list or radio, etc. (or like THIS)
Variations edit in PhocaCart Attributes tab, not a descrition. Will be an other style, more unified visible.

Hi, yes, this way is commonly used. It is planned to somehow extend the options. As you can see in edit of the product, there is "type" - for now, there is only type: "selectbox" but I am planning to extend it in the future. But really cannot say when I will be able to do it, first of all, the extension itself needs to be finished and made stable.
