Joomla 3.4.8. After upgrade to Phoca Gallery 4.3.0, I get white page on pages where Phoca Gallery Image Module 4.3.0 is published with error message:

Fatal error: Class 'Joomla\String\StringHelper' not found in administrator\components\com_phocagallery\libraries\phocagallery\text\text.php on line 17

If the module is unpublished the page is normal. If I downgrade the module the problem persists.

I had also the identical problem for the Gallery page from the menu = Category View. I have reverted to old version and all works OK now.

I have a local copy of my site upgraded to 3.5.1. No white page anywhere, but when members images displayed in Category view only one members album is visible.

I got it working in Joomla 3.5.1. Changed Phoca Gallery Options:
Category View Settings (Categories above Images) > Display Categories in Category view from No to Yes.

Hi, yes, Phoca Gallery 4.3.0 is a Joomla! 3.5 component, so first Joomla! needs to be updated to 3.5 (3.5.1)

Yes, about 50 members have an album, but only the first album was visible in Category view in front end. But when I changed settings:

Changed Phoca Gallery Options:
Category View Settings (Categories above Images) > Display Categories in Category view from No to Yes.

All 50 albums were visible as previously.

I have discovered that the albums are not displayed for guests, but only for members. I have JotCache but if I disable it for phocagallery the problem persists.

I ran into this topic through a google search on the exact same error.

Because there was no answer, I tried finding the problem, but in the end - because I needed a quick fix - I did this, which worked for me:

1. downloaded phoca gallery 4.1.2 from here: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/phocagallery/frs/ and installed it over 4.3.0 (so no deinstallation of 4.3.0)
2. uploaded and installed 4.3.0 again.

After these 2 steps everything worked again and the error was gone.
I currently don't have time to dive further into the real cause of the error. However it seems like some file or routine is missing in the 4.3.0 package that is actually included in the 4.1.2 package.

I tried that, both in cache of the site and browser, but it did not change anything.

So to summarize it.

In Phoca Gallery 4.3 - you have some public categories and they are not displayed in category view, only in case you will enable:
"Category View Settings (Categories above Images) > Display Categories in Category view from No to Yes."?
