thumbnail ordering

How can you change the order of displayed thumbnails. Currently when I add new pics they always appear last in a descending order (I do not have any folders or sub categories, just top level thumbnails in the component). I would like to have the thumbnails random no matter when they were uploaded. I Apologize if this topic has been covered already.

Unfortunately, there is no option in category view to sort images randomly.
