Only one thumbnail size

As I am with Hostgator hosting that has a limit of 250.000 inodes (files) I think I might end with 40000-50000 images but as those are replicated three times more because of the 3 thumnails sizes I will end up with close to the limit of my hosting company. I wonder if it is possible to only create the small thumbnails and not the medium and large ones to save inodes(files).

Hi, as all thumbnails are used, so you need to customize it (so no other thumbnails will be created and will be not used on your site - e.g. no detail view, no thumbnails view (medium), etc)

Hi:

When you say customize what do you mean? Is it something easy like leaving the "Images and Windows Size Settings" blank on those sizes that I don't want, or is it to program phoca not to use the small and large thumbnail and only leave the medium thumbnail and the original size image? If programming is involved I will leave it the way it is now, as I don't have the knowledge to do it. I guess that when I reach tyhe 250.000 inodes I will have to move up to a dedicated server. Do you think that Phoca can handle 50.000 images with their corresponding thumbnails, has someone this number of images using Phoca?

I know that specific image management programs like Thirdlight can handle this (hundreds of thousands images)but are not open software like joomla and you are locked to them. Have you experience wich such large images collections running under Phoca gallery?

Hi, yes it means programming because there is no such option...

I know Phoca Gallery can handle cca 5000 images, maybe more (users told me it, so I don't know)

I don't know if it can handle 50.000 images

As there is a pagination, it loads from database only 20 images per site, so I think you can store a lot of images but how many? Really don't know because it depends on server CPU and RAM too ?
