Greek Characters are missing from folders. Is there any know issue?

I didn't find something related in the forum.

Hi, which Phoca Gallery version you are using?

In latest Phoca Gallery 4.2.0 it was added a feature for displaying them, but of course, it is better to use ASCII characters as it depends mostly on server how the characters will be displayed

Thank you for your reply. I use the latest version 4.2.0

Unfortunately i need all my categories to be in Greek language. Do you have any advise about how could i resolve this?

Hi, there is an independent database and filesystem layer - so if you call your folder with ascii characters, you can call the folder name with standard characters - with utf-8 encoding - Names of category or image titles can be normally set with national characters like articles and their titles in Joomla!


Folder name ντοσιέ (Category = ντοσιέ, Folder = ntosie). Then the greek name is displayed as category title.
