Hi,
I'm willing to help in translating the back-end of this nice component.

I started to do this, but i have problems displaying the french characters like é à è, etc...

There must be a setting (UTF 8 maybe) somewhere in Phoca Gallery that is not set to display this characters. Can you look into the code and change this ? Otherwise the french translation would be almost unusable !

Other components and J! menus are displaying these characters correctly.

You need to save the .ini files as UTF- NO BOM, to display the characters ok.
