Image in other folder

Hello,
I installed Phoca Gallery in a Joomla website under linux (Geexbox).
I have a lot of images stored in /media/SAMSUNG/Multimedia/Foto with many subdirs (and joomla website path is /srv/www/htdocs/joomla/)
So, I would know if it is possible make categories (one for each subdir) automatically and publish them on website using images stored into the original path (without copy them in Phoca Gallery web folder).
I made a symbolic link under /srv/www/htdocs/joomla/images/phocagallery path pointing to /media/SAMSUNG/Multimedia/Foto folder but this doesn't help.

It is possible do this? How?

Hi, for now only images in images/phocagallery folder can be displayed. See similar posts in this forum, you can change the path in code but not sure if this cannot influence some other part in system:

administrator\components\com_phocagallery\libraries\phocagallery\path\path.php
