how to get rid of the thin white line around the image

I am trying to remove the white line that displays around my gallery images by either getting rid of the line completely or by changing it to the color of the background. however, i've not found any settings that change the color of this line.

I've tried out all the different color settings that are available in the phoca gallery settings, but without luck.

here's how it looks right now. you can see that there is a thin white line around each image. i'd rather just have the drop shadow without the line.

does anyone know how i can change this ? maybe i need to do this with a phoca gallery template ? i've not touched those yet because i'm afraid to mess it all up again  .
thanks

Hi,

that thin white line is part of the shadow image, I think.

You can change that by editing the shadow file: components/com_phocagallery/assets/images/shadow3.gif

Everytime you update the shadow file is overwritten, so save a copy on your pc.
