Thumbnails not created

I am using the Phoca Gallery latest update on Joomla 2.5. I have over the past three years successfully posted images to our website with no issues. I am now encountering a problem where thumbnails are not being created for images that have been uploaded with the multi-image capability. The images are visible in the Joomla Media Manager in the Phoca Gallery file after upload, but no thumbnails are displayed in the Phoca Gallery Images page for them. I was able to create a category for the images OK, but neither the images or category show up on my web site.
The "Enable Thumbnails Generation" line is set to Yes in the Gallery Options page, while the "Pagination Thumbnail Generation" and "Clean Thumbnails" are set to No.
Any assistance in resolving this issue is appreciated.

Do you get any error there (php error, did you try to see the errorLog on your server). For, example: is the place for creating new thumbnails? Are the permissions to write thumbnails on the server OK?
